Aim of the workshop
The Workshop offers a meeting opportunity for academics and practitioners interested in recent developments and research projects regarding financial reporting. Therefore, we encourage submitting empirical and theoretical papers and case studies broadly addressing financial reporting issues.
The Workshop also hosts a panel involving distinguished academics and practitioners to discuss various EU private firm accounting topics. The panel presents topics that will be the subject of a Special Issue that Financial Reporting will launch after the Workshop.

The panel’s keynote speaker is Professor Eva Eberhartinger, Professor of Tax Accounting at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. The panel presents topics that will be the subject of a Special Issue that Financial Reporting will launch after the Workshop.

Prof. Donald Pagach
Prof. Donald Pagach is a Professor of Accounting and the Director of Research for the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Initiative at North Carolina State University, USA. A globally recognized leader in risk management and forecasting, he has conducted extensive academic research exploring the characteristics of organizations that implement enterprise risk management (ERM) and how the marketplace values their adoption of ERM processes.

Prof. Annalisa Prencipe
Annalisa Prencipe is Professor at Bocconi University in Italy, where she holds the KPMG Chair in Accounting. She served as the President of the European Accounting Association from 2021 to 2023 and is a current member of the Bocconi University Board. Renowned internationally, her research focuses on financial and non-financial reporting, disclosure, corporate governance, and the unique dynamics of family and private firms.

Prof. Mukesh Garg
Mukesh Garg is Professor of Accounting at Monash University (Melbourne) and Head of Research and Education at the Australian Accounting Standard Board (AASB). He is internationally known for his research and expertise on climate change risk reporting and auditing.
